CANNON

With great sadness and heavy souls, we  share with  our  fans and community, that Cannon, founder, composer and lead bass and vocalist, passed away on March 10th, after suffering a heart attack. He and his music were loved by all whom paths he crossed and shared his masterful gifts with  while spreading positive consciousness and healing vibes to the world.

As a dynamic artist of Roots Reggae music, Cannon was an innovative and creative force. Hailing from the Caribbean Island of St, Kitts, he had been a musician and reggae ambassador since a young age performing his authentic, original, music and sharing his lyrical positive vibes wherever he journeyed. 

His vast experience dated back to 1979 when he began playing bass, touring and recording with the Ras Michael Strictly Roots band thru 1982, Followed by a stint with Mikey Dread in the late 80's before joining Everton Blender and Lion Soul Jah as a lead bass player and rhythm master. Sought after, Cannon later played and recorded with Danary Clarke and the Meditations, 'Michael D', Alric Forbes and Admiral Tibet before forming his own band in 1990.

Cannon and the Lion of Judah have inspired audiences far and wide and shared the stage with such international Reggae artists as The Wailers, The Itals, Jimmy Cliff, Steel Pulse, Third World, Pablo Moses, Black Uhuru, Tarrus Riley, Israel Vibration, Barrington Levy, Ini Kamoze, Lee 'Scratch' Perry, Winston Jarrett, Yellowman, Danny Ital and many more !
